Audition Information for WWSHS Show Choirs

The audition process involves two separate parts: vocal and dance. Please read carefully.

Vocal Auditions

If you are trying out for Esprit and/or Classics, the same vocal audition is used. Please prepare a 30 second excerpt of any song of your choice and attend only ONE vocal audition as listed:

Current WWS students and private school students (WWS Auditorium)

*Tuesday, May 20 2:30-9:00 pm (sign up in choir room)

*Wednesday, May 21 3:00-4:00 pm (sign up in choir room)

Current Hubble Middle School Students (HMS choir room)

* Thursday, May 15 6:45am-7: 30 am

Current Edison Middle School Students (EMS Choir Room)

* Wednesday, May 14 6:45am-7: 30am

Dance Auditions (WWS Auditorium)

ESPRIT DANCE AUDITION: Wednesday, May 21 4:00-6:00 pm

*All girls auditioning for Esprit must attend the Esprit dance audition. If you are trying out for BOTH Esprit and Classics, you will still need to attend the Esprit Dance Audition.

CLASSICS DANCE CALLBACK: Thursday, May 22 2:30-5:30 pm

*Only for those trying out for Classics who have been called back after their vocal audition (call back list posted Thurs., May 22)

Friday, May 23- Final Lists Posted for both show choirs

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What if I want to audition for JUST Esprit? (This means you have NO interest in Classics.) Do the following:

*Attend vocal audition (see dates and times above)

*Attend Esprit dance audition on Wed., May 21 4-6 pm

2. What if I want to audition for JUST Classics? (This means you have NO interest in Esprit.) Do the following:

*Attend vocal audition (see dates and times above)

* Attend the Classics Dance Callback (Thurs., May 22 2:30-5:30) ONLY IF you are on the call back list posted on Thurs., May 22 (morning).

3. I want to try out for both. If I don’t make Classics, I want to be considered for Esprit. If this is the case, then you need to do the following: You will do the vocal audition. You will also do the Esprit dance audition on Wed., May 21 from 4-6. If you make the Classics dance call back (list posted on Thurs., May 22) you must also go to the Classics dance audition on Thurs., May 22 2:30-5:30. (in addition to the Esprit audition).
