ICYI Minutes

Present: John Kendall, Katie Mellentine, Rev. Jonathan Knight, Rev. Kirk Moore, Pastor Karen Karczewski.

The meeting was called to order at 2:05 pm. Kirk reviewed his activities with the ICYI web page, and the group thanked him for his efforts.

The MidWinter Retreat 2007 was discussed. Paula Comper has been arranging speakers around the UCC’s 50^th anniversary theme, "Celebrate". Keith Scott and Temous Newberry have been confirmed as speakers. Paula is contacting two other individuals to ask them to speak also. We will have some ‘music sessions’ during the retreat. Bryan Sirchio has advised us that he cannot attend the MidWinter Retreat. Paula will contact additional musicians to find out their availability. The Midwinter Retreat will be held January 19-21, 2007 at Pilgrim Park. Karen will send the contract for Pilgrim Park to Paula for signature.

• 7:00 pm Registration
• 7:30-8:30 pm Ice Breakers and Gathering Music
• 8:30 -10:00 Group Activity/Game—led by Jonathan (4-Square, Capture the Flag were suggested)
• 10:00 Snack and Casual Time, maybe vespers
• 12:00 am Lights Out

• 9:30-10:15 am Speaker
• 10:15-10:30 am Break
• 10:30-11:00 Music Interlude
• 11:00-11:45 am Speaker
• 12:00 pm Lunch
• 1:00-3:30 pm Scheduled Activity Time (to include high ropes) Hiking, Napping, Snow
• Games, etc
• 3:30-4:15 pm Speaker
• 4:15-4:45 pm Music Interlude

The meeting was adjourned at 2:45 pm to attend the ICYI Fall Harvest Event.
